Kada šampion u karateu Majkl Rivers (Matis Landver) pobedi na poslednjem turniru u karijeri, sumnjivi biznismen Ron Hol (Matijas Hjuz) mu nudi priliku da se bori u ilegalnom “Kumiteu” u Bugarskoj protiv najboljih svetskih poznavalaca borilačkih veština. Kada Majkl odbije, Hol mu kidnapuje ćerku i, da bi je spasio, Riversu ne preostaje ništa drugo nego da se takmiči na smrtonosnom turniru. Stigavši u Bugarsku, saznaje da nije jedini borac kome su odveli voljenu osobu. Rivers traži pomoć trenera majstora Lorena (Bili Blanks) i Džuli Džekson (Sintija Rotrok), ali da li će mu to biti dovoljno da pobedi na turniru i spasi život svojoj ćerki?
