‘The Informant’ je istinita priča o doktoru znanosti Marku Whitacreu (Damon) koji se ranih 90-tih godina prošlog stoljeća vrlo brzo uspinjao na hijerarhijskoj ljestvici tvrtke ‘Archer Daniels Midland’. Međutim, ovaj bipolarni junak uskoro saznaje da tvrtka kojoj je privržen namješta svoje vlastite taktike i na taj način postaje najistaknutiji izvršni direktor koji se ikada okrenuo protiv svog poslodavca u američkoj povijesti. Potajno je skupljao stotine sati audio i video materijala tijekom nekoliko godina i prezentirao ih FBI-u što je dovelo do jednog od najvećih skandala u povijesti… Ovu kriminalističku komediju režirao je oskarovac Steven Soderbergh (Traffic), a glavnu ulogu glumi također oskarovac Matt Damon (Dobri Will Hunting).
